STEP 3
Look at the photo below of those cathode lights.  When you get those out of the box, they are ready to plug in, but what a mess the wires are everywhere.  Get some split loom or spiral wrap.  Even some black tape would work to get this mess in shape.  Don't forget to cut off those connecters and install the new ones, numbered.
LETS CONNECT EVERYTHING
Since you already installed your light and stealthed all the wires. You did that already? Right? Numbered the connectors?  Then all you you have to do now is pull those wires though the bay opening  One of the reasons we number those connectors is to keep it straight of exactly what and how we are plugging things in.

SNAP THAT BAD BOY IN
Some bays have an up or a down. They have to be oriented correctly for the snaps to work. Seems like most metal bay covers do.  I've oriented my switches so the are up for on, down for off.  A switch leg is just breaking one leg in the circuit.

Test this.  If something is not working, it should be easy to fix.  I try to make things so that they can be worked on at a later date.  Leaving wires a bit longer is a big help.  They are harder to hide, but easier than having to lengthen them with butt connectors later.   After all case modding is all about change.  At some point in the future, I will change my mind, and add more stuff, so I install extra stitches for more lights or fans.

Finished?  We are never finished case modding.

How I feel after a new case mod.

I love computers, but was getting board with the whole scene. Then a friend sent me a link.  I got hooked on case modding by looking at case galleries like the one in GruntvillE.  More I looked, the more I liked it. There is so much creativity out there.  I'm amazed at some of the modifications and the people who do them.  As usual the factories lag behind several years. You don't' see any water cooled computers from the factory! But make no mistake we are influencing the computer industries.  You notice they have all come out with colored or black cases. What will they come up with next?  Who cares.  We will be light years ahead then as we are now.
